The Lewis High School staff is proud to be innovative and creative. We have staff meetings on a daily basis to discuss student achievement and develop programs to promote success. We are willing to change course if something needs to be changed and work together in a true collaborative effort. Being such a small staff requires all members to take on a variety of tasks and be willing to give 110%. We are fortunate to have a wide variety of experiences among staff members, both in the field of education and beyond. Our goal is to create an environment where students are safe, challenged and able to express themselves. We strive to meet the wide variety of needs presented by our students. In addition, we take great pride in being a true “small learning community,” where each staff member knows as much about each individual student as possible. As a result, we have been able to enroll students who are a good match with our philosophy. Students must be willing to work with staff to improve not only academic skills, but life skills as well. We have outside agencies working closely with staff to provide counseling, drug/alcohol rehabilitation and family services.
